elliot helps out.

So Jace read a study recently (surprised?...) that argued whether pregnant woman who are under a lot of stress, are more prone to have stressed-out babies. I laughed at this study because, I don't know any woman, pregnant or not, from ancient times to present, who isn't or wasn't under some kind of stress.  Therefore wouldn't that prove doom and high-strung gloom for all generations, past present and future? But, why would I not totally support this study, and try being more relaxed for this pregnancy just in case. It couldn't possibly hurt, right? So, I have been trying to be less stressed (which turns out, less productive). This has lead Elliot, to really step up around the house. He is clearly just as concerned as Jace, about having another, uptight and easily frazzled, woman running around here. Thank goodness for the men in my life, who are always looking out for my well-being...  (which, as argued, may dramatically affect theirs haha.)  Here are some pictures of Elliot picking up the slack.

Elliot cleaning the oven.

Someone's got to do it.

Scrubbing the cupboards haha. I swear they weren't that dirty.

Cleaning up after his lunch.

Washing up for bed.

Gotta look real nice.

Washing-washing. I swear we use a bath...

Folding laundry. Which he has learned, NEVER STOPS!

Loading the dishes.

Making dinner!

Is it done?

Feeding himself.

And of course, brushing his teeth.

He has impressed me so much lately, I almost let him go grocery shopping today, if only someone could take on that job... or meal planning haha. In truth, I have been staying just as busy as ever, and I promise none of these pictures were staged.  Elliot is truly a big helper ! I am so thankful for my little buddy, who is clearly such a big boy now, and surprising us everyday.  He is such a quick learner, and he is so fun! And like I said, he loves to help-out, which I hope transfers over to helping with the new baby soon. But, until then, I am just going to enjoy all these phases he is going through, just the two of us, because they are happening way too fast! My mom sent me a book called "Little Boy," that of course made me cry, but you should read it, it's adorable. My favorite line is, "Little boy, you remind me how, so much depends on, days made of now." I love my little boy so much!
