elliot moments.

Top 3 Elliot moments of the week...

1. Banana facial: So I guess Elliot read about it somewhere, maybe in a magazine while in line at the grocery store, I can't be sure, that banana's are really good for your skin and hair. This is why, I imagine he felt it was necessary, to try it out this week. I walked upstairs for about 5 min. while he was finishing his banana from breakfast, I came back down to a child (and a floor) covered in bananas! He had it on his arms, head, eyes, shirt and smeared so thickly through his hair I had to wash it 4 times. Lesson learned... leave Elliot unattended and he will literally go bananas.

 2. "You eat crap for breakfast?": Name that quote... But seriously, so the other morning Jace was home when Elliot woke up and was able to get him out of his crib. Generally, I get him out of his crib and bring him back in my bed with me (sometimes he will actually cuddle with me for about 30 seconds) but first, I always change his diaper. So on this morning, Jace brought him in and nicely did the honors of changing his diaper. Well it was an ENORMOUS poo. After he was finished changing him he brought him over to me, and immediately I could still smell the poo. I looked closer and realized he had poo all over his mouth and hands... We looked in his crib and sure enough...poo. Our only guess is the giant poo started coming out of his diaper, and not knowing what it was, he felt inclined to taste it, of course. So... for the rest of the day, I'm sure you can guess what we kept asking Elliot.

3. Walk like an Ell-i-ot: That's right Elliot walked... today... like just  few hours ago. Right before his 15 month mark. (Phew, I was starting to worry about how awkward it would be to explain my crawling 5 year old to his kindergarten teacher. ) And, the best part was, it was right when we were skyping my parents. Talk about timing. I know I might need to re-baby proof some things, but that's way more simple than carrying around a toddler and a newborn.

Other than that we are just looking forward to what next week might hold. As for now, I am going to watch a movie, after I wash Elliot's sheets... Have a good week!

  5. Soooo funny! (by that I mean you and your descriptions, I pity you in the actual situation). I didn't walk until 15 months either - must be the mark of a really cool person ;) Congrats to Elliot for hitting that milestone!
