No "lion," we love Halloween!

And now,” said Aslan presently, “to business. I feel I am going to roar. You had better put your fingers in your ears.” And they did. And Aslan stood up and when he opened his mouth to roar his face became so terrible that they did not dare to look at it. And they saw all the trees in front of him bend before the blast of his roaring as grass bends in a meadow before the wind.

Our very brave Aslan... or adorable Elliot!

Yes, I agree, this is the most adorable picture ever taken.

The lion. The witch and... the Wardrobe.

Elliot in our driveway... mesmerized by the trick-or-treaters!

Oh how we love this little lion.
This Halloween was really fun. Although we missed the ever-anticipated family party, we tried to make-up for it with a little fun here. We went to our ward party, then we had some friends over to play games, eat soup and consume way more treats than we ever should have... but that's what made it so fun! Then Monday we decided to put El in his costume and let him enjoy the most kid friendly day in the world, which he did,  more than I ever could have hoped for. He didn't even get scared when a giant gorilla came to our door. (Even I was kind-of freaked out...) Did I mention that, all the while, he was totally masking (no pun intended) a horrible double ear infection and strep throat? Yeah, what kind of parents are we? Seriously though, right after trick-or-treating, his small fever, that we thought was just a normal part of teething, spiked! After a sleepless night, I finally took him to the doctor this morning, and the poor buddy was put on antibiotics. Now we are just praying he will get to sleep like a lion tonight and feel better soon.  Otherwise, we really did have such a fun time. All I can say is, there is nothing like the holidays with a child (or Jace, who gets equally as excited as one.) I am so excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!
